BC.Game Hot Pot Explained: Pick Your Ingredient

Hot Pot is a fast, multiplayer BC Original themed around the popular shared-pot meal. During a short countdown, every player chooses one or more ingredients, such as meats or vegetables, and each ingredient carries its own multiplier. When the countdown ends, a winning ingredient is selected according to its odds, and results appear almost immediately. Bet on the winning ingredient and you’re paid your stake times its multiplier.

Check the game panel. The ingredient list, multipliers and limits can change. The in-game rules and paytable are always the final word.

How to play Hot Pot

  1. Open Hot Pot and wait for the betting countdown.
  2. Choose your stake.
  3. Pick one or more ingredients. Each shows its multiplier.
  4. Confirm before the countdown ends. Late bets go into the next round.
  5. Watch the result. If your ingredient is selected, you win stake × multiplier. Other bets in that round are lost.

Everyone in the round sees the same result, so Hot Pot has the same social feel as Crash and Fish Prawn Crab.

Multipliers and odds

Each ingredient’s multiplier is linked to how likely it is to be picked. Common ingredients win often and pay small multipliers. Rare ingredients win seldom and pay large multipliers. In a game like this, the relationship is roughly:

Chance of winning × multiplier ≈ RTP (slightly below 1)

For example, if an ingredient pays 5x, its chance of being chosen will be a little under 20%. If it pays 40x, a little under 2.5%. This is how the house edge is built in. Check the game’s info panel for the actual RTP and multipliers.

Betting on several ingredients

You can usually spread your stake across several ingredients in one round. This makes it more likely that something wins, but you also lose the stakes on every ingredient that doesn’t. Spreading bets changes how often you win and by how much. It doesn’t change the house edge on each individual bet.

Hot Pot myths

  • “That ingredient hasn’t come up for ages, so it’s due.” Each round is independent. Recent history doesn’t affect the next result.
  • “Following the crowd improves your odds.” What other players pick doesn’t change the probabilities.
  • “Covering everything guarantees profit.” Covering all ingredients means one winner and many losers each round. Over time the edge applies to all of them.

Speed and responsible play

Hot Pot rounds are short and continuous, and the countdown creates urgency. That’s part of the fun, but it also makes it easy to play longer and bet more than planned. Before you start:

  • Set a budget for the session and stop when it’s gone.
  • Decide on a fixed stake. Don’t raise it to chase losses.
  • Set a time limit.

Is Hot Pot fair?

As a BC Original, Hot Pot should use BC.Game’s provably fair system. Open the game’s fairness panel to see how results can be checked for multiplayer rounds.
